To replace the Glacier AO3P system, follow the instructions below.
- Turn the Spa Power OFF.
- Remove the cabinet panel directly below the topside (display/control center) and the panel marked with a sticker indicating that the Glacier AO3P is located behind that panel. The location of this component is not the same for all the tub which means you would need to look for this sticker indicating the exact location in your tub.
- Once you have located the Glacier AO3P system, close the shut off valves located on both sides of the wave zone. These valves may be already closed if you have previously closed it to temporarily stop the leak.
- Remove the clamps/hoses from the in, out and ozone line as shown in the image below.
- Unscrew the Wave Zone from the base and remove ground wire as shown below.
- Unplug the Ozone component from the circuit board. Use the printed diagram on the back of the control system cover to locate the Ozone connection. Please note that this may be already disconnected if you were instructed to do so to temporarily stop the leak and avoid the tub to trip the GFCI. The picture below refers to a Balboa BP501 Control system. However, the location of this component may be different on a Balboa BP100 Control system and therefore you should always refer to the wiring diagram printed on the back side of the control system cover.
- Screw the new Wave zone into the spa base.
- Install ground on new unit.
- If ambient temperatures are too cold, use a Heat Gun to warm up the hose ends and glue ends onto in/out and ozone. Re-clamp in/out lines.
- Open both shut off valves and check for any leaks. (if there is water in the tub)
- If there is no water leaking from the new Wave zone, proceed to reconnect J24 on the circuit board.
- Turn the Spa power ON.
